Dear E-Mail User

This Alchemy Mail Service has over the past years been generally provided by IntraPower as a free service and on a "best effort" basis with no service level commitments. Unfortunately, this service experienced technical difficulties on Friday the 16th of April and is currently operating with some restrictions. It is anticipated that as of the 20th, some e-mails sent to your alchemy address would not have been received by the server and an "unable to deliver" e-mail notifying the sender of the e-mail rejection would have been sent. We understand that this issue has caused inconvenience, however as this is a "best effort service", we have endeavoured to migrate your new e-mails over to the IntraPower supported and managed e-mail servers.

NEW E-MAIL SERVICE

An alternate e-mail service, also offered on a "best effort basis" can now be accessed via the IntraPower mail server on outgoing SMTP: mail.intrapower.com.au and inbound POP3: mail.intrapower.com.au. We invite you to contact our 24 hour help desk no 1300 136 741 and kindly quote reference 69585, where our Support Team will assist you in configuring your Outlook setup or web access to this alternate service. As of midday today, in most instances, any e-mails to your alchemy address would have been accepted by this new e-mail service and are expected to be located within your new profile.

OLD E-MAILS

If IntraPower manages your domain name hosting we do have buffers in place to "hold" some of these e-mails and in most instances, can retrieve these as outlined below. Archived e-mails will be available to you via the alchemy IT web mail log at: http://alchemymail.intrapower.com.au/index.php with your normal user name and profile. However, you will need to forward these e-mails to your new alternate e-mail service which can be activated by calling our call centre as outlined below. Therefore, should you wish to retain your historic e-mails, kindly take advantage of this temporary arrangement as soon as possible as this server is expected to be decommissioned on the 1st of May 2010, so users are encouraged to forward those older e-mails as needed at your earliest convenience. Please note, if your previous POP3 alchemy IT mail settings were pre-set as delete old mail, this historical information will not be recoverable. If however you do have this setting active your old mail should be available on the PC that you normally use to access your mail.

We understand that these issues have been an inconvenience for you. These services are however generally provided free of charge on a "best efforts basis".
